Bellano and Fiumelatte River
We went by train to neighboring Bellano to purchase vegetables from the Supermarket which is located right adjacent to the train station. Varenna has two small grocery stores for essentials; but, not a large variety of the vegetables we are used to. We then decided to walk to the Flumelatte River, the shortest River in Italy. We followed the GreenWay to the Fiumelatte river. This is a well market flat path along the lake. Coming back we followed the ancient mule path known as the Wayfarer's Path. |
